Mary Hare School named Regional Winners

Mary Hare School’s Sink or Swim appeal has benefitted from winning £5,000 of building materials from Jewson’s Building Better Communities.

Over 1,800 projects were nominated for an award. And the School was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the Regional Winners.

The Sink or Swim appeal is raising money to update the School’s swimming pool and changing facilities which are in urgent need of renovation if they’re to remain open to the School and the local community.

The planned refurbishment will include replacing the roof structure, the extension and improvement of the poolside area and the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the School’s existing changing area.  All aspects of the refurbishment will ensure full disabled access, including the installation of a submersible platform.
