On Sunday July 14th 10 year old Natty Dean-Grainger from Mary Hare Primary School for Deaf Children took part in the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury College in Gloucester. He came 2nd in the Dressage competition, 5th in a very closely scored Countryside Challenge and 2nd in the Combined Training

He qualified after taking part in the South Region Show on Sunday 19th May where he took first place in the Countryside Challenge. Everyone was thrilled as this was his first competition.

Many thanks to the volunteers at Newbury Riding for the Disabled where Mary Hare Primary School pupils have weekly horse-riding sessions, particularly for the extra tuition that they gave to Natty in the lead up to the competition and for transporting Bungle, the RDA pony, to the event.
