Mary Hare Hearing Centre opened in Weavers Walk in Newbury town centre in 2006. It supports the work of Mary Hare to this day by donating 50% of its profits towards the education of deaf children at Mary Hare School.
Mary Hare Hearing Centre is different from any other hearing care provider in Newbury as it’s the only dedicated hearing centre in the town, open Monday - Saturday, with experienced and highly qualified audiologists on-site 5 days a week.

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 (pro-rata) + bonus opportunity
Hours: Part-time (up to 22.5 hours per week)
Are you passionate about helping people hear better and improving their quality of life? At the Mary Hare Hearing Centre, we’re looking for a caring and motivated Hearing Care Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly team.
This role is open to both aspiring HCAs who wish to train in audiology and experienced HCAs already qualified in hearing care and wax removal. You’ll be joining an independent, patient-focused practice that values time, care, and genuine connection over sales targets.

If you’re already qualified: You’ll be able to use your existing HCA and wax removal skills to provide independent patient care, with opportunities to further expand your scope and support the wider team.
If you’re new to hearing care: You’ll receive comprehensive training and mentoring to build your clinical and communication skills from the ground up.
As an HCA at the Mary Hare Hearing Centre, you’ll work closely with our experienced Audiologists to provide high-quality, person-centred hearing care.

You’ll receive full support and supervision from our Audiology team. For candidates new to the role, we’ll provide structured in-house and external training leading to recognised HCA competency.
